Last week when I was trying to find something to watch on Amazon Prime, I stumbled upon the movie Two Weeks with Sally Fields from 2006.
It gives a very realistic picture of how the last weeks of someone's life can look.
With all the good , the bad and the ugly.
All the sadness and all the laughter.
It shows how hospice can be of help.
How families can really around a dying person and how hard this can be.
How there is still room for humor and laughter.
How somethings you can plan and other times you have to go with the flow.
(The scene were two of the children push the button of the Pain Pump so fast and frequent, I never saw that as hospice volunteer being possible as the pump is set to a minimum frequently and maximum doses.)
If a loved one is very sick right now, this movie might be to confronting and too much of a reality check to watch. You might want to wait to watch till your loved one is better or till after the passing. You will see that what you are feeling, all the emotions, all the struggles are perfectly normal.
For all others out there, please find the courage to watch.
